Second game of the season for the D team and we were up for a challenge after beating Henley with a confident win. We arrived at Stockton to see a fairly young team that looked enthusiastic and ready to put up a good game.

During the first quarter Tall Ang(GS) and little Ang(GA) put up the shots to give us a good start of 9. We were comfortably starting to Gel as a team with some brilliant Defending and Great shooting.

We were leading 9-7 in the second quarter but things started to get a bit rough, with some tight umpiring  we started to get pulled up all the time, this slowed the game down and interfered as we were trying to work together and move ahead. The quarter ended with Stockton 19 Bulkington  17.

With a team talk at half time we were determined not to go down easily, however Stockton started to ease away confidently, with a side line cheering our mistakes and encouraging  them ending the quarter with 30 to Bulkingtons 18.

Knowing it was our last quarter everyone tried to play as well as they could to prove we were better than what was being made out. There was some brilliant defending By Sue and Mandy, with tall Ang coming in as keeper to give us some height against the goal shooter. The quarter ended 36 to Stockton 22  to Bulkington but we could fairly say we didn’t let them win easily.

Sue Got a well-deserved player of the match for her tight marking and encouragement towards the team.
